After a stretch where ESPN let numerous recognizable faces from their network go, but it appears as if they’re bringing one of them back.
Hank Williams Jr. will be bringing his rowdy friends back to ESPN on Monday nights this fall, replacing Carrie Underwood.
According to ESPN, Williams will debut a new version of “All My Rowdy Friends,” while still featuring the signature “Are you ready for some football?” catchphrase.
ESPN pulled the opening song during the season in 2011 after 22 years, following controversial comments made by Williams dealing with president Barack Obama and Republican House speaker John Boehner regarding their meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The new video was filmed in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday and will first air during the Monday Night Football opener on September 11th when the New Orleans Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings.
