An absolute heartbreaker for the Oakland Raiders.
With under a minute remaining, the Raiders were driving for the game-winning touchdown drive when Derek Carr scrambled and dived for the goal line.
Carr stretched the football as far as he could but ended up losing the ball and watching it go into the redzone, forcing one of the worst rules in the rule book to decide the game:
The NFL’s two most controversial rules holding each other’s beers today.

Yup, because Carr fumbled at the goal line, the ball went to the Cowboys and ended the Raiders the playoff hopes.
As for the Cowboys, they held on for a 20-17 victory and return home to see Ezekiel Elliott return from his suspension as their playoff hopes also hinge on them winning out and hoping for a couple of loses from the Atlanta Falcons.
