REPORT: Patriots Interested In Signing Recently Released Steeler James Harrison

On Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers released the franchise’s all-time sack leader James Harrison.

Though there are just two games remaining in the regular season, the team needed to clear a roster spot with t to activate offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert from the reserve/suspended list.

Harrison resigned with the team not expecting a drop in playoff time, only seeing 40 snaps this season through 5 games, racking up just one sack and three tackles.

When the news broke, one team popped into likely every football fan’s mind as a potential suitor – the New England Patriots.

It appears now as if that theory has legs,

According to CBS Sports, the Patriots, who are thin at linebacker, are interested in signing Harrison for a playoff run. The Baltimore Ravens are also reportedly looking at bringing the former Steeler in.
