Steelers’ Mike Mitchell Overlooks Jaguars And Guarantees Victory Over Patriots In AFC Title Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers might be playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in Sunday’s AFC Divisional Round game but one of it’s prominent defensive players is already looking forward to the team’s potential rematch with the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.

Steelers safety Mike Mitchell is already planning on meeting the Pats in the AFC Title Game disrespecting not only his team’s opponent on Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars but also overlooking the Patriots’ opponent, the Titans.

Mitchell made this bold statement about the potential Steelers-Pats rematch:

“We’re going to play [the Patriots] again. We can play them in hell, we can play them in Haiti, we can play them in New England. …  We’re gonna win,” he told The MMQB’s Greg Bishop.

The two teams went at it in Week 15, with the Patriots winning 27-24 in controversial fashion after tight end Jesse James’ game-winning touchdown in the final seconds was overturned. That led to a game-ending interception from Big Ben, who failed to trick the Pats with his fake spike.

Whether or not, the Steelers and Patriots  do meet up is likely but if you’re a Steelers coach, you want your players locked in on the Jaguars this week and not the Patriots.
