Vince McMahon Debuts XFL Logo, Rules And League Procedures In Press Conference

Oh Thursday, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon announced that he would be re-launching the XFL, making the news official after weeks of speculation.

During his press conference, McMahon announced that the XFL would kick off in 2020, saying it would “give the game of football back to it’s fans.”

McMahon says the league would consist of 8 teams of 40 player rosters and the season would be 10 games long with a playoff consisting of four semi-finalists and one championship game.

He also revealed that players would be paid more for winning.

McMahon was also asked about anthem protests and made it clear that he wants to keep politics out of his league, claiming that he would consider a rule that prevents players from protesting during the anthem:
