Though nothing is official yet, the New England Patriots are reportedly closing in on a trade that would bring Josh Gordon to New England.
The troubled Browns WR was told he would be released from the team on Saturday following another hiccup in a string of drug and behavioral violations that has left the talented Baylor WR sidelined for the majority of his career.

Gordon’s numbers in the games he has seen on the field have been astronomical, exceeding that of even the all-time greats of Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.
With the signing, the Patriots would fill a lack of depth they have at the receiving position with Julian Edelman still out due to suspension.
