BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys Parting Ways Coach Jason Garrett

Of course Cowboys fans weren’t actively rooting for their team to miss the playoffs this season Sunday with their post-season hopes hanging from a string, but if there’s a silver lining, it’s that Jerry Jones will finally have no hesitation in ridding Jason Garrett.

The head coach will be relived of his duties by not renewing his contract after 9 years with the team and a fourth 8-8 finish in that span.

Garrett was attributed to many of the Cowboys failures this season, with Dallas being consistently inconsistent, making questionable decisions in important times, and blowing out bad teams and yet being unable to beat teams with winning records.

Garrett was a lame duck coach after not having his contract renewed by Jerry Jones before the season, which now of course looks like a good decision.
