REPORT: Dallas Cowboys Staff Believe Jason Garrett May Remain With Team

Could we not have seen the last of Jason Garrett with the Cowboys.

With Dallas failing to make the post season with one of the most talented rosters in all of the NFL and every thing he could ever need at his disposal via Jerry Jones, Jason Garrett’s fate seemed all but sealed, but with day after day passing with no word out of Arlington, some are having second thoughts.

ESPN Senior Reporter Ed Werder is reporting that Cowboys staffers believe Garrett, whose current contract expires before the new season, may end up remaining with the team in some capacity, whether it’s on the sideline as head coach or in another role.

Typically coaches are relived of their duties on “Black Monday”, the day after the regular season ends, but the Cowboys have had a series of meetings to discuss Garrett’s future, with no conclusion in sight.

Music to the rest of the NFC East’s ears.
