The Red Rocket is returning to Texas…
After drafting Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Andy Dalton’s nine-year tenure in Cincinnati came to an end.
Just a few days after being on the free-agent market, Dalton has been picked up by the Dallas Cowboys to backup Dak Prescott.
Former Bengals’ QB Andy Dalton is signing a one-year deal worth up to $7 million that includes $3 million guaranteed with the Dallas Cowboys, source tells ESPN.

The deal is for one year and is worth up to $7 million ($3 million guaranteed) and from the perspective of Dallas, makes all the sense in the world. Not only can Dalton be used as leverage in the negotiation of Dak Prescott’s contract, but the Cowboys now have arguably the best backup QB in the league.
The former TCU Hornfrog will find himself at home as he already owns a home in Dallas.
