There’s a new gun slinger in Big D.
The Patriots are trading QB Joe Milton and a 7th-round pick to the Cowboys in exchange for Dallas’ compensatory 5th-round pick, per sources.
Milton, who came out of college as a freak but raw talent, showed flashes of potential in the playing time he say in 2024, going 22 of 29 for 241 yards and a TD in Week 18 last year, leading the Patriots to a win.
Milton will serve as a backup for Dak Prescott who is coming off a season-ending leg injury and is hoping for a full year of healthy football.
