With all the news bad news circling around media outlets, here’s something uplifting that won’t be as prevalent in the headlines.
NFL punter and current free agent Marquette King spent his Monday walking the streets of Phoenix where he resides cleaning up after protestors from the night before.
King posted on social media that he would be doing so if others wanted to join, and he was taken up on the offer by some friends and total strangers, who spent hours doing their community a service.
Need something uplifting today? @MarquetteKing posted on social media asking for help cleaning downtown PHX. He was joined by former @ASUFootball player @NELSON_ISLE and 15-20 others. They walked the streets for hours picking up and washing off whatever they could. #12Sports pic.twitter.com/rEhcbqCAFM
