REPORT: “Increased Hope” That Colin Kaepernick Will Be Signed By NFL Team

In 2016, Colin Kaepernick came to the forefront when he took a knee during the playing of the national anthem. He was faced with heavy criticism around the nation as he protested police brutality and racial injustice. Following the 2016 season, Kaepernick has been a free agent.

Now in 2020, the country is in the midst of non-stop protests that have been started because of the tragic murder of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.

Many, who were critical of Kaepernick in 2016 have changed their tune and now understand what he was protesting, including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who admitted himself and the NFL owners were wrong for not listening to its players and welcomed players protesting peacefully.
