So far, the NFL schedule hadn’t been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic but all that changed on Thursday when the league announced a cancellation and postponement of a preseason tradition.
ESPN’s Adam Schaffer reported the league decided to cancel the Hall of Fame game between the a Cowboys and Steelers as well as postpone its Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony due to the virus:
The game was scheduled for August 6, while the ceremony was slated two days later for August 8. This marks the first event the NFL has had to cancel because of the ongoing pandemic, and the Cowboys and Steelers will simply play each other in the Hall of Fame game in 2021.
