FL Governor Gives Dolphins Clearance To Have Full 65,000 Capacity At Stadium

While most NFL stadiums aren’t allowing a single fan in, the Miami Dolphins have been given clearance to go ahead and let 65,000 people pack into Hard Rock Stadium for the remainder of the season, no masks required.

UPDATE: DeSantis has also approved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars to do the same.

Meanwhile, teams like the Green Bay Packers announced yesterday that they would be holding off any fans from entering Lambeau indefinitely due to a spike in COVID-19 rates spiking within Wisconsin.

COVID-19 rates amongst players and teams have also been the topic of late, with the Titans having the reschedule their Week 4 matchup against the Steelers and star players like Cam Newton and Stephan Gilmore of the Patriots contracting the virus and being forced to miss time.

The Dolphins are currently allowing 13,000 fans max capacity into their games, and will reportedly continue to follow CDC guidelines and hold off on allowing a they will allow a higher, or full, capacity moving forward for the time being.

The move comes as another step in DeSantis’ push to reopen his state, despite Florida seeing its highest positivity rate in weeks following an initial reopening.
