Last week Cam Newton was shocking released by the Patriots as part of the final roster cuts in New England. Not only is it surprising to have the previous year’s starter get cut, but in favor of a rookie QB without a single pas thrown in the NFL is almost unheard of.
But Bill Belichick appears to like what he sees in the highest QB he’s ever drafted, and that could have something to do with Mac Jones’ ability to digest the likely extremely complicated Pats playbook.
