Jon Gruden is being cancelled, cancelled.
The Raiders head coach went from coaching his team Sunday to out of a job after a slew of emails uncovered in a completely unrelated investigation into the Washington Football Team turned up racist, homophobic and misogynist language.
After resigning, many moved towards separating themselves from Gruden, with the Bucs removing him from their Ring of Honor, Sketchers dropping the coach as a sponsee, and now Madden announced plans to erase him from Madden 22.
EA Sports said, “Due to the circumstances of Jon Gruden’s resignation, we are taking steps to remove him from Madden NFL 22. We will replace him with a generic likeness via a title update in the coming weeks.”
