Things got a little awkward during the 2021 Heisman Trophy ceremony when Michigan Wolverines defensive end Aiden Hutchinson took an unintended shot at Ohio State in front of fellow Heisman finalist and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Hutchinson was asked by fellow Michigan Wolverine and ESPN College Football analyst about why Hutchinson returned to school and Hutchinson answered by including his desire to help the Wolverines beat the Ohio State Buckeyes. Hutchinson immediately acknowledged Stroud and said “no offense.”
We thought the awkwardness was over but then Tim Tebow pointed out that he was happy that Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett was standing in between the two rivals. Desmond Howard followed it up by saying Pickett is doing a better job protecting Stroud from Hutchinson than the Ohio State offensive line did.
Zinger:
Hutchinson had three sacks during the Wolverines 42-28 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes.
