Brian Flores Says President Of Denver Broncos & John Elway Showed Up Hungover To His Interview

Seems like the Rooney Rule has reached it’s final straw.

First implemented in order to offer minorities a fair shot at an interview for coaching and executive positions within NFL teams, many have criticized it’s effectiveness and Brian Flores is calling it out and has the receipts.

After filing suit against the Giants and exposing text messages sent by Bill Belichick revealing that the New York Giants selected Brian Dabol as their head coach prior to even interviewing Flores, Flores is also filing suit against the Broncos, alleging the interview he got with them being a total sham.

Within the 53-page suit, Flores notes that Denver’s team president Joe Ellis and President of Football Operations John Elway of showing up to the interview ‘hungover’ and ‘disheveled’ and an hour late.

Brian Flores also adds that he interviewed with the Broncos in 2019, but GM John Elway and President Joe Ellis showed up an hour late. “They looked completely disheveled, and it was obvious that they had been drinking heavily the night before.”

On the same day the Flores suit was filed, Denver Broncos ownership announced that the team is up for sale.
