The United States Football League, or USFL for short, is the latest in professional football startup/reboot leagues that is looking to take some of the monopoly that is the NFL’s marketshare and attempt to gain a following playing America’s favorite sport.
The league kicked off it’s inaugural 2022 season on Saturday, but it wasn’t the on-field stories that got most of the attention – but rather a clip from the Pittsburgh Maulers where RB De’Veon Smith was cut from the team for the lousiest of reasons.
