Colts Benching QB Matt Ryan, Will Start Sam Ehlinger

Well, Matt Ryan’s tenure in Indy may be coming to an abrupt end.

The Colts have seemingly been a QB away from some time now, and management and fans thought they had their guy this offseason when they traded for Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

Six games in with a disappointing 3-3 record with a mediocre offense and poor QB play with Ryan leading the league in interceptions and fumbles, coach Frank Reich will start Sam Ehlinger under center Sunday when Indy takes on the Commanders.

Per source, Colts benching Matt Ryan, turning to Sam Ehlinger. Sam makes 1st career start Sunday vs. Washington. Nick Foles will be No. 2.

Reich also alluded that Ryan will most likely be benched for the remainder of the season.
