Broncos Insider Believes Broncos Could Fire Nathaniel Hackett If Team Loses To Jaguars In London

Nathaniel Hackett’s time in Denver could be coming to an end soon.

Following another disappointing loss to the New York Jets at home with the offense failing to score over 10 points for the second time this season, there are rumblings that Hackett’s job is in major jeopardy with one Broncos insider not ruling out an in-season firing if the Broncos don’t beat the Jaguars in London.

According to Benjamin Allbright of KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM in Denver, “anything is possible” if the team loses to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8:

This would be wild considering Hackett is in his first season as the Broncos head coach but from the start, he’s looked completely overwhelmed and his offense has underperformed to the point where they are considered one of the worst offenses in the league despite trading for Russell Wilson this offseason.

It is important to note that the new ownership group did not hire Hackett and as Allbright points out are “embarrassed” over the team’s 2-5 start.

Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
