REPORT: Cardinals Fired Assistant Coach After He ‘Groped’ A Woman In Mexico City

On Tuesday, Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced that the team has fired offensive line coach and running game coordinator Sean Kugler following an ‘incident’ in Mexico City.

Well we now know what that incident was.

According to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, Kugler was fired for groping a woman in Mexico City over the weekend.

Authorities in Mexico were notified of the incident, which happened on Sunday night, they then informed the Cardinals, who immediately terminated Kugler and sent him back to Arizona on a flight Monday morning. The Cardinals arrived in Mexico City on Saturday.

Kugler has coached at the high school, college and NFL levels since 1990. He had joined coach Kliff Kingsbury’s staff in 2019.

The Cardinals lost 38-10 to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday at Estadio Azteca.
