REPORT: Matt Rhule Expected To Become Next Head Coach Of Nebraska

Matt Rhule is back in college football.

According to ESPN, Nebraska has ‘zeroed’ in on Rhule becoming the next head coach at the University of Nebraska, with a deal expected to be finalized in the next couple of days.

Rhule, who was fired by the Carolina Panthers in October, previously had successful college stints at Baylor and Temple.

Nebraska has zeroed in on former Carolina Panthers coach Matt Rhule as @HuskerFBNation’s next head coach, and the two sides hope to finalize a deal in the coming days, sources tell ESPN.

Nebraska fire Scott Frost earlier this season. The 4-8 Cornhuskers are not bowl eligible this season, finish their 2022 season with a 24-17 win against Iowa on Friday.
