NFL Insider Expects Nathaniel Hackett To Be Fired By Denver Broncos

The 2022 season has been an absolute disaster for the Denver Broncos as the team sits at 4-8 and in last place in the AFC West after a 23-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

To make matters worse, Russell Wilson has looked everything but a franchise quarterback. In-fact, he’s looked exactly like every Broncos quarterback has since the team had Peyton Manning. The only difference is Wilson has been signed to a five-year, $245 million contract and he’s basically stuck with the Broncos for the foreseeable future.

One person that isn’t stuck with the Broncos is first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett and there is growing belief that he will be one-and-done as the Broncos head coach.

In his latest Football Morning in America column, NBC Sports’ Peter King explained that he’ll “be extremely surprised if” the Broncos retain Hackett beyond the 2022 season.

“I think I will not be surprised if Nathaniel Hackett makes it to the end of this season as Denver coach. But I will be extremely surprised if he isn’t one-and-done.”

The Broncos will travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens on Sunday.
