Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy met with reporters on Thursday and one of the more shocking things he didn’t shutdown is the ongoing rumors regarding the job security of Kellen Moore, refusing to announce that is offensive coordinator would be returning in 2023.
“I don’t want to play this game today,” McCarthy said in answer to a question about Moore. “Kellen Moore, just like the rest of the coaches, will be evaluated.”
McCarthy added that he planned on meeting with Moore this week.
In addition to this, the Cowboys also announced that six assistant coaches won’t return for 2023.
The team is retaining defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who will be back with the team.
