Eagles GM Howie Roseman Reveals How Chiefs HC Andy Reid Assisted In Scouting And Drafting Jalen Hurts

Andy Reid had his QB in Patrick Mahomes so Eagles GM Howie Roseman sought his mentor’s counsel on the draft class of 2020 and Jalen Hurts was someone Reid endorsed as promising candidate as insurance for Carson Wentz, who had not finished 3 of 4 seasons due to injury.

Reid was well versed in Hurts’ makeup and journey at Alabama and Oklahoma but
Reid downplays any role in the Hurts pick, saying that the credit goes to vision of Roseman and owner Jeffrey Lurie because “they made the decision. I’m not picking players for the Eagles…”
