The Ratings Are In: Super Bowl LVII Was The Most Watched Super Bowl In Six Years

The Super Bowl LVII ratings are in and they are as good as the game itself was.

According to FOX Sports, Super Bowl LVII earned an average of 113 million total viewers, the highest ranked Super Bowl in six years. The numbers include both digital and viewing and Neilsen’s out of home viewing.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35. The game aired on Fox and streamed on the Fox Now and the Fox Sports app.

It was also the most steamed Super Bowl ever.

In addition, Rihanna’s Apple Music Halftime Show, an awesome show that saw a pregnant singer perform an awesome concert where she was on a clear platform that was suspended above the State Farm Stadium averaged an even higher rating with 118.7 million viewers. That’s good enough for the highest-rated halftime show since Katy Perry’s performance in 2015 and the second highest in history.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the game’s MVP after leading his team to a come-from-behind victory. Mahomes had 3 touchdowns to no interceptions; with Kansas City adding a defensive score and Kadarius Toney chipping in a 65-yard punt return, Mahomes didn’t need to do any more.
