BREAKING: Aaron Rodgers Says He Went Into Darkness Retreat 90% Set On Retiring

Aaron Rodgers almost called it quits…

The Packers legend made headlines last month when it was announced he would be entering a darkness retreat in order to help him gain clarity on his future. What we didn’t know that Rodgers entered that retreat set on retiring.

Rodgers sat down on his weekly appearance for the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday and laid his thoughts out on the table, saying that he walked off the field after Green Bay’s Week 18 loss to the Detroit Lions with Randall Cobb thinking it would be his last moments on the gridiron.

So Rodgers went from 90% retired (pre-darkness) to wanting to play for the #Jets. Interesting turnound. Sounds like a guy who is motivated to prove the #Packers wrong. @PatMcAfeeShow

Rodgers mentioned that he left with full intention of being a New York Jet.
