The Patriots Will Honor Tom Brady During The Team’s Home Opener

The Greatest of All-Time is coming back to Foxborough.

The New England Patriots announced that Tom Brady will return to New England for the team’s 2023 season opener, an event that is called “Thank You Tom Game” by the franchise.

“The greatest player in the history of the game played right here in Foxborough, and I’m happy to tell you … I invited him back to come here and be with us at the opening game,” team owner Robert Kraft told Good Morning Football on Thursday morning.

New England’s home opener has not yet been announced, as the NFL prepares for its full schedule release on Thursday night.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion retired earlier this offseason after 23 seasons, with 20 of those coming in New England as the quarterback for six Super Bowls.

Brady left New England after 2019 and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing his final three seasons in Tampa, where he won his unprecedented seventh Super Bowl in 2020.
