The entire Cincinnati Bengals offense was an absolute disaster against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1.
Cincy had just 142 yards of total offense in their 24-3 loss to the Browns with Joe Burrow throwing for just 82 yards the entire game.
Despite the horrid performance, Ja’Marr Chase didn’t hold when expressing his disapproval with the team’s performance.
“I’m just frustrated because I called their ass elves and we just lost to some elves, so I’m pissed on my part,” Chase said. “Like I said, we had missed opportunities and we didn’t capitalize on that s–t and that’s how we lost.”
In case you were unaware, Chase is making reference to the Browns’ mascot, Brownie the Elf. He referred to the team as “elves” last week leading up to the game.
The Browns take great pride in their elfish logo, and they hit Chase with the postgame subtweet:
The schedule doesn’t get easier for the Bengals as the Ravens come to Cincy next week in Week 2.
