Robert Griffin III Tried To Pitch Himself To The Jets Live On-Air After Aaron Rodgers Injury

Robert Griffin III has a replacement in mind for Aaron Rodgers and his name is Robert Griffin III.

Appearing on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ Tuesday morning, the former Heisman Trophy winner attempted to pitch himself to the Jets as someone that they could sign in the wake of the devastating injury to Aaron Rodgers.

RGIII even went on to say that an NFL general manager told him this offseason that he ‘could still play’ but they ‘couldn’t bring me in because I’d be a distraction to the starter.’

Robert Griffin III, 33, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders. He played four seasons in Washington before being released and signing with the Cleveland Browns where he lasted just one season before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2018 to be the back-up to Lamar Jackson.
