REPORT: Tropical Cyclone Expected To Impact Three NFL Games In Week 3

As hurricane season continues in the Atlantic, a tropical storm has emerged that could cause some problems for three NFL games this Sunday.

A tropical cyclone – named Ophelia – has continued to gain strength and appears destined for landfall in the Carolinas this weekend. Given the current path of the storm, which has become more clear as the weekend nears, it appears that three NFL games could be affected by the bad weather, all in the 1:00 p.m. ET window.

The three games are Buffalo vs Washington, Indianapolis vs Baltimore and New England vs New York Jets.

The sustained winds of the storm are expected to decrease by Sunday morning, but there is expected to be plenty of rain (and still some wind gusts) during the games on Sunday. Certain parts of the northeast could get 3 to 5 inches of rain within a two-day span.

If you’re attending any of those games, bring a poncho.
