Colin Kaepernck really wants to join the New York Jets.

Rapper J. Cole released the letter (via Instagram) Colin Kaepernick wrote the New York Jets requesting a spot on the practice squad and explaining the reasoning behind his request.

Among the things mentioned in the letter are Kaepernick saying that hasn’t stopped training since last playing for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. He claims he would be a “risk-free contingency plan” in case Wilson doesn’t find the stride or suffers an injury. Kaepernick also listed Jim Harbaugh, Chip Kelly, John Harbaugh and Mark Davis as references.

To this point, the Jets have remained committed to Zach Wilson. They signed veteran backup quarterback Trevor Siemian to their practice squad on Tuesday.
