NBC’s Rodney Harrison Calls Zach Wilson ‘Trash’ In Awkward Exchange With Chiefs’ Chris Jones After SNF Game

Former Patriots legend and current Sunday Night Football analyst Rodney Harrison has come under-fire on social media after what some are calling very “unprofessional” comments about New York Jets QB Zach Wilson.

Speaking with Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones after the game, Harrison told Jones:

“But watching that tape, you’ve got to look at this dude and say ‘oh, he is garbage, we should really tear him apart,’” Harrison asked Jones.

The Chiefs defensive lineman responded that he thought Wilson was a ‘special’ quarterback which led to Harrison to push back against Jones, leading to an awkward back-and-forth:

Harrison’s comments didn’t sit well with many on social media, who took to Twitter/X to blast him for it:

Wilson had his best game as a pro against the Chiefs, throwing for 245 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.8 percent of his passes. He might not be “special” like Chris Jones says but calling him “trash” after that game seems a bit too much.
