Marvin Harrison Jr. Undecided About NFL Draft After Receiving NIL Deal Worth First Round Draft Pick Contract

NIL deals have changed college football forever and the effect of it is starting to impact the NFL as well.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is arguably the best prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft but he might not enter the Draft according to Christian Williams of Footballguys.com

Per Christian Williams, Harrison Jr. and running back TreVeyon Henderson have reportedly been offered NIL deals that “rival first-round draft pick” money to keep them at Ohio State for the 2024 season.

It remains unknown whether it’ll be enough to keep them from entering the ’24 Draft.

Under the terms of the NFL’s rookie wage scale, here are the signing bonuses for each of the first five picks in the 2024 draft, per Spotrac:

  1. 1st pick – $24,849,725 
  2. 2nd pick -$23,618,753 
  3. 3rd pick – $22,835,422 
  4. 4th pick – $21,940,160 
  5. 5th pick – $20,373,464

That means Harrison Jr. is allegedly receiving an NIL deal that is over $20 million.
