NBC Being Called Out For Editing C.J. Stroud ‘Thanking Jesus’ Out Of Postgame Interview

Fans around the country are not happy with NBC and are making their opinions heard on social media after the network edited C.J. Stroud’s postgame interview with sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen

After leading the Houston Texans to a Wild Card victory over the Cleveland Browns, Stroud showed his faith by thanking his “lord and savior.”

“First of all, I just want to give all glory and praise to my lord and savior, Jesus Christ,” Stroud said. “I mean, it’s been amazing being in this city for as short as I’ve been but the love that I’ve got. I’ve really just been doing it for Houston, man. The people back home, I’m blessed enough to be in the position that I’m in and blessed enough to be playing at a high level right now. We gotta just keep it going, but I’m super blessed.”

NBC shared Stroud’s postgame interview on X, but oddly decided to remove any religious references he made. Here’s the clip they shared:
