With the offseason approaching, talks of uniform design changes are becoming more prevalent and this upcoming offseason will be full of them.
The current reportedly teams set for uniform changes include that of the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, New York Jets and the Seattle Seahawks.
In 2012, Nike took over as the official uniform supplier for the league from Reebok, and in doing so unveiled new uniform and logo designs for the backyard team Seattle Seahawks that looked revolutionary for their time with their use of neon green, signature feather print and wealth of different possible uniform combinations.
Though the uniform design is undoubtably iconic, arguably some of the best the league has ever seen, they aren’t necessarily regarded as timeless, and 12 years later the Seahawks are rumored to be debuting new uniforms for the 2024 season.
In a since-deleted reddit post, someone stating they are a paralegal for a Nike Branch rereleased details on the potential changes, even a mockup of the two primary uniform combination, complete with new silver helmets as well as grey and blue pants.
