Stop me if you heard this before: The referees missed an obvious facemask penalty on Thursday Night Football.
A few weeks ago the referees screwed over Sam Darnold and the Vikings when they missed a clear facemask penalty that would’ve given the Vikings a first down. This week, the referee nearly screwed the Cincinnati Bengals for the same reason.
Late in the 4th quarter as the Bengals were driving to tie the game, Joe Burrow had his facemask grabbed/hit by Ravens defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike.
Luckily, the Bengals were able to convert a first down and the missed call didn’t cost them the game.
