It’s been a rough first season for Caleb Williams and nothing seemed to be worse than the Bears’ Week 16 game against the Seattle Seahawks, where they Bears offense was only able to mustard 3 points while their defense held Seattle’s offense to 6 points.
On Friday’s edition of Mully & Haugh Show, Chicago broadcaster Zach Zaidman tore into both Williams and the media reactions to some of Williams’ best throws. He said that he’s tired of people on social media saying that some of his throws are uniquely good because he’s seen them from every NFL quarterback that’s worth something in the league.
“Don’t tell me that I’m watching something that I clearly haven’t watched,” Zaidman said. “Stop lying to me and telling me that’s generational, because it’s not.”
Here’s the full clip:
Despite the perceived rough season, Caleb Williams’ rookie numbers don’t actually look bad. He’s thrown for 3,393 yards, 19 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Unfortunately, the Bears are 4-12 and losers of 10 straight games.
The Bears desperately need to find a head coach that can get the most out of Caleb because there has been moments where you can see the talent that made Williams the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on display.
