Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is headed to jail.
Cutler will serve four days in jail as part of a plea deal from a 2024 DUI case. Tony Garcia of WSMV 4 Nashville reported Cutler is also required to pay a $350 fine and attend a DUI safety class. His Tennessee license was revoked, and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.
The four-day jail sentence begins Sept. 29.
Cutler was arrested in October after he rear-ended another car while driving. Police found a rifle and loaded pistol in his truck, and he was charged with driving under the influence, possessing a gun while intoxicated, failure to exercise due care and implied consent.
Cutler entered the NFL as the No. 11 overall pick of the 2006 NFL draft after he played collegiately at Vanderbilt. He played 12 years in the league for the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.
He made the Pro Bowl in 2008 with the Broncos and led the Bears to the NFC Championship Game during the 2010 campaign.
The 42-year-old completed 62 percent of his passes for 35,133 yards, 227 touchdowns and 160 interceptions during his career.
