The Kansas City Chiefs are trading All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a package that would include the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
McDuffie is expected to sign a long-term deal with the Rams.
The 25-year-old McDuffie was the 21st overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2022 NFL Draft after being a three-year starter at Washington.
In 2025, McDuffie appeared in and started 13 games for the Chiefs, recording 63 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, seven pass defenses, and one interception.
Rams General Manager Les Snead said on Tuesday that it would be nice to add an All-Pro to the team’s secondary and now, he has used one of the team’s two first-round picks to pull that off.
The Rams still own the 13th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which they acquired from the Atlanta Falcons.
