Shedeur Sanders Silently Mouths Answers When Media Asks Questions About Browns’ QB Change

The Cleveland Browns are turning to rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel and benching Joe Flacco. The decision doesn’t alter Shedeur Sanders’ role with the team as he will remain the team’s emergency third quarterback and will be inactive on game days.

When he was asked about it Wednesday in the locker room, Sanders mouthed his answers, taking an unorthodox approach to handling media.

Gabriel backed up Flacco the first four weeks of the season. He also was taken by the Browns out of Oregon in the third round, whereas Sanders was scooped up by Cleveland in the fifth round following his unexpected draft slide this past April, so it makes sense for the Browns to give Gabriel the first crack at starting.

The decision clearly isn’t sitting well with Sanders.

The Browns will travel to London to take on the Vikings on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network.
