The Mark Sanchez incident has taken a turn…
The past professional football signal-caller and current analyst for a major network, Mark Sanchez, sustained a puncture wound during an altercation in the core business district of the Indiana capital.
The occurrence happened very early on a Saturday, when Indianapolis police officers were called to an alleyway near West Washington Street, where they found the former New York Jets star and another individual injured. Initial reports indicated a more serious health condition, but his employer, FOX Sports, has issued a statement confirming that Mr. Sanchez is receiving medical attention and is currently in stable health.
The thirty-eight-year-old was present in the city to perform his responsibilities as a commentator for the upcoming professional game between the Colts and the Raiders. Law enforcement officials have since taken a person of interest into custody. They have indicated that the clash appears to be an isolated dispute between two non-local men, rather than a random act of violence. Reports suggest the confrontation may have begun as an argument, possibly related to parking, which intensified into a physical struggle.
