BREAKING: Lions Sign Aidan Hutchinson To A Huge 4-Year Contract Extension

The Detroit Lions and pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson have agreed on a four-year, $180 million contract extension that includes $141 million guaranteed, his agent Mike McCartney confirmed to Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

Hutchinson’s $45 million average is second to only Green Bay Packers’ Micah Parsons who comes in at $46.5 million long non-quarterback salaries int he NFL.

The 25-year-old Hutchinson is one of the cornerstone pieces on the Lions, establishing himself as one of the top pass rushers in the NFL. Coming off a gruesome injury, Hutchinson has returned to his dominate form.

He’s tallied six sacks this season and 29 quarterback pressures which ranks second behind only Micah Parsons and his four forced fumbles are tied with Joey Bosa for the league lead.

The Lions continue to draft and develop well and Hutchinson falls into that as he was the team’s No. 2 overall pick out of Michigan in 2022.
