Jets Are Releasing WR Allen Lazard, Per His Request

The New York Jets are parting ways with another veteran.

Allen Lazard requested his release from the Jets and the Jets have granted it. The veteran wide receiver will hit the waiver wire and if he clears waivers, will be free to sign with any team.

In 10 games this season, Lazard has caught 10 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Lazard originally signed a four-year, $44 million contract with the Jets in 2023, the same year Aaron Rodgers arrived in New York. With Lazard now available, it’s likely Rodgers will push for the Steelers to sign him.
