Maxx Crosby Left Raiders Facility Angry After Being Told He Was Being Shut Down For Season

The Las Vegas Raiders quest for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft has left them at odds with their franchise player.

According to FOX Sports Jay Glazer, Maxx Crosby reportedly left the team’s facility due to a disagreement over his playing status for his team’s final two regular season games.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport added more insights to Glazer’s report, citing the Raiders’ concert over a knee injury Crosby has been playing through since October. However, it’s clear Crosby wants to suit up and play in Sunday’s game against the Giants.

The 2-13 Raiders finish the 2025 season at home for two games against the New York Giants on Sunday and then the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 4. Earlier in the week, Crosby was asked about the potential of getting the No. 1 pick in the draft and didn’t want to hear it.

“Yeah, I don’t give a sh*t about the pick. I don’t play for that. My job is to be the best defensive end in the world.”

It’s pretty obvious the Raiders are tanking but it might cost them their star defensive player, who’s clearly unhappy with the team’s decision to shut him down for the rest of the season.
