The sports world was shook today when the 24-year old sensation of a pitcher José Fernandez died early this morning in a boating accident in Miami Beach.
The Miami Marlins ace who leaves not only his family but an unborn child was returning from an fishing trip with two of his friends who also passed away in the crash, when their boat collided with the jetty that juts out from the tip of South Beach at a reported high rate of speed.
Ahead of the Dolphins vs Browns game taking place Sunday just hours later, the team held their first game in their newly renovated Harv Rock Stadium in a way they could never have imagined, holding a moment of silence for the pitcher taken too soon.
