After the Atlanta Falcons’ crushing Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots, students of an Atlanta based Christian School got creative with their tardy excuse.
Two students cited “Falcons depression” and “failed to Rise UP” as reasons for being to school Monday morning:

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the private school has close ties to the Falcons as two of the school’s ballet teachers are also Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, and children of a Falcons player and assistant coach.
We’ll have to wait and see if the depressing humor helped the students’ tardiness get excused.
