Revis, who was once widely regarded as the best cornerback in football joins a Kansas City Chiefs team that is is desperate for a win after losing 4 of their last 5 after starting the season 5-0.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid on signing Revis:
“We’re excited to add Darrelle to the roster, he has experience and familiarity with Bob Sutton’s defense, he’s a team guy and we feel like a player of his caliber can help our football team.”
Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton was the Jets defensive coordinator for two of Revis’ seasons in New York so if Revis is in shape and ready to go, he should have no trouble fitting in and contributing right away.
The 32-year-old Revis hasn’t played at all this year and looked well past his prime with the Jets last year.
