The firestorm of sexual harassment allegations that’s enveloped Hollywood has now made it’ way to the sports world. The latest claim comes against long-time ESPN anchor John Buccigross at the hands of former co-worker Adrienne Lawrence.
Lawrence filed a sexual harassment complaint to the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities this summer, stating that Buccigross sent unsolicited shirtless photographs of himself as well as spreading rumors for their fling, the latter of which Buccigross denied.
Lawrence added that ESPN retaliated against her repeated complaints of harassment by reducing air time as well as even denying her a permanent position.
This morning, ESPN posted edited portions of the text messages without the photos on its website and said, “It’s clear that they had a consensual, personal friendship that spanned months.”
